About Cathy

Cathy McCrone's experience in the fashion industry spans more than twenty years. Tiring of secretarial work early on in her working life she made up her mind to change course and trained at the Grafton Academy to forge a path into the world of fashion. She ventured into new territories working in the design/manufacture, wholesale and retail divisions of women's fashion. She achieved a City and Guilds Certificate in Retail Management and opened her own boutique in 1988 that ran successfully until 1994 when she chose to sell the business in order to spend more time with her new infant. While child rearing she expanded her skills base by studying to be a Colour and Image Consultant.

In 1999 she re-entered the retail fashion world as a maverick introducing one of Ireland's first home catalogue clothing line through the Danish company'Green House'. Initially building the fashion line privately on a party-plan basis, she cast an entrepreneur's eye on the selling process and set out to create a nationwide network of sales consultants operating on behalf of the company. The venture proved very successful and her position expanded to include the recruiting and training of fashion consultants on a full time basis. After several years of solid growth and an expanded managerial role, she realized she missed the customer contact she had had in the earlier years and felt the call to return to her true passion—style-consultancy. She resigned her position as Manager ofGreen House Ireland to re-launch her career as an independent Fashion Stylist, together with the online marketing ofClothing andJewellery.
